The steel return plate with integrated cable is suitable for professional diathermy devices especially with the I-TECH.AR model

Diathermy works with capacitive mode and resistive mode through two different types of electrodes that are placed on two separate handpieces.

Its operation is given by a circuit consisting, on one side, of a mobile handpiece with its electrode used by the therapist, and on the other side of the fixed steel plate.

In the capacitive mode, an electrode covered with an insulating ceramic material is used. The action is concentrated on the superficial area of the tissue, therefore in the area below the mobile electrode and especially at the level of the soft tissues.

In the resistive mode, using uncoated electrodes, the concentration of charges occurs in the tissues with the highest resistance, in the deepest area of the tissue that lies between the moving electrode and the return plate, i.e. bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, cartilage.
