The CA-050 composite cushion has a preformed anatomical base integrated with self-modelling fluids and a removable cover with a zip on three sides.
The interior is made up of several elements: a preformed anatomical base composed of a rigid shell in black cross-linked polyethylene, an intermediate layer in 25 kg/m3 density polyurethane foam with a sacral recess and a top layer in 50 kg/m3 density embossed viscoelastic foam.
The base height has been designed to better distribute pressure in the ischial region; specifically, the height is 9 cm at the front of the device, while the rear is 8 cm. The self-modeling fluid bag is enclosed in a 500-micron polyurethane and PVC membrane, inserted into the recess of the intermediate layer and covered by the upper layer of the preformed base. The bag is not removable.
The cover is made of polyurethane coated, breathable, bi-elastic fabric that is waterproof and permeable to water vapor. The upper part in contact with the user is fire-rated, while the lower part in contact with the wheelchair is made of non-slip fabric. It features a carrying handle on the front of the cover.
