A torn cruciate ligament, collateral ligament injury, or meniscus surgery may require external knee stabilization for a certain period of time. SecuTec Genu is a functional knee stabilization brace indicated in all these cases. It's lightweight and durable thanks to a special metal alloy and designed for perfect anatomical fit. It's easy to put on and take off, adapts perfectly to the leg, and is comfortable to wear.

In detail:
The causes of knee instability range from a simple ligament tear to a fractured patella. Depending on the severity of the injury, your doctor will recommend conservative therapy or surgery. In any case, successful healing can only occur if the knee is moved regularly. This, however, initially requires a restraining frame: any movement in the wrong direction or beyond a certain angle can completely undo any healing progress. SecuTec Genu stabilizes the injured knee. At your doctor's recommendation, the knee's extension and flexion angles can be limited, or it can be immobilized completely.

The knee orthosis allows for gradual training and relieves the entire ligament system. Thanks to the frame and the so-called four-point principle, it counteracts any knee instability. To help your doctor choose the best treatment solution, SecuTec Genu is available in two versions (front and back). Both feature two lightweight, thin frames, one for the thigh and one for the calf, allowing for a variety of sizes. The thigh and calf frames are connected by joints and secured with six Velcro straps with practical fasteners.

Once adjusted by an orthopedic technician, this orthosis can be put on and taken off in a flash, facilitating wound management and physiotherapy. Depending on the version, the SecuTec Genu features a height-adjustable calf strap (front version) or a flexible frame component in the calf area (dorsal version) to ensure a consistently optimal fit. The soft strap material and breathable microfiber padding make this orthosis exceptionally comfortable to wear.

Directions for use:
Anterior and/or posterior cruciate ligament (ACL/PCL) rupture
After ligament surgery/ligament surgery
Severe and/or complex instabilities (traumatic, degenerative; e.g. “Unhappy triad”)
Lateral ligament injuries
For limitation of the range of motion of the knee joint (e.g. following meniscus fixation or implant surgery)
Patellar fracture (conservative and post-operative use)

It can be easily worn and secured by the patient on the front side. The model offers high rotational stability thanks to the anatomical structure of the frame.
