SofTec Genu is a multifunctional knee brace, indicated for the stabilization of the knee joint in cases of rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament, collateral ligament injuries, rheumatoid arthritis or severe gonarthrosis, also specifically indicated for sports therapy and excellent in cases of sports rehabilitation.
The orthosis's structure combines stability and control thanks to the fixed joint splints and the massage provided by the compressive action of the fabric and the insert positioned around the patella. The knee brace ensures maximum comfort thanks to the anatomically shaped and breathable SofTec® vector-oriented knit fabric.

In detail:
A knee that has undergone surgery or is injured requires support and protection against incorrect movements. Above all, it requires assistance in functional recovery. Indeed, only active movement can fully heal an injury and delay the progression of degenerative changes. SofTec Genu combines the features of an orthosis with the advantages of a brace: two lateral joint splints limit the range of motion to prevent damage and subsequent pain. Since the knee's rotation axis varies from person to person, SofTec Genu features intelligent joints that allow the orthosis to be precisely adapted to the individual's knee.
The special breathable knitted fabric promotes proprioception in the knee, increasing muscle stability and encouraging healthy movement. The fabric ensures the orthosis stays securely in place. The Velcro-fastened traction straps and functional padding around the kneecap further ensure proper positioning. The intelligent hinges adapt to your needs and your body. A zipper at the calf makes putting on and taking off the orthosis easy.

Directions for use:
Conservative therapy in case of rupture of the anterior and/or posterior cruciate ligament (ACL/PCL), deferred pre-operative and post-operative treatment, long-term rehabilitation and chronic insufficiency
Complex instabilities (traumatic, degenerative; e.g., “Unhappy Triad”)
Lateral ligament injuries
For limitation of range of motion (e.g. following meniscus fixation or transplantation surgery)
Treatment of unstable knee joints (e.g. severe gonarthrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, PCP, endoprosthesis, – genu recurvatum)

Care and maintenance instructions:
Never expose the orthosis to direct heat (e.g., radiators, sunlight, etc.). Hand wash SofTec Genu separately at 30°C using a mild detergent. Before washing, remove the joint splints from the side sleeves.

Proceed as follows:
Open both straps at thigh height. Pull the straps out of the plastic loops. Close the Velcro ends securely by turning them inside out. Now you can open the side sheaths by pulling the entire Velcro surface to the side.
Remove the joint splints. Caution: Please note that joint splints are shaped according to the body's anatomy and are therefore different from one another. The joint splints are color-coded and, after washing, must be inserted into the same lateral sleeves from which they were removed.
Before washing, re-thread the straps through the plastic loops and close all the Velcro fasteners to avoid compromising their fastening ability.
Once washing and drying are complete, reinsert the joint splints into the lateral sleeves. The colored markings on the joint splints and the colors of the inner sleeves must match. The colored top of the joint splint should be reinserted under the matching colored inner sleeve.
Finally, close the side sheaths.

Further instructions:
You can set extension and flexion limitations in 10° increments.
