CaligaLoc is an ankle brace used for conservative treatment of significant ankle ligament injuries or post-surgery when partial immobilization is recommended. The CaligaLoc stabilizing orthosis prevents supination of the foot and can be worn 24 hours a day to protect against unexpected or excessive stress.

In detail:
In cases of serious injuries or after surgery, it may be helpful to initially partially immobilize the ankle. CaligaLoc stabilizes both the upper and lower ankle thanks to an L-shaped plastic outer shell and an elongated sole. The outer part of the foot socket is slightly raised at the heel. This allows the foot to tilt inward, unloading the external ligaments and preventing chronic instability and new twists.

The anatomically shaped plastic splint can be individually adjusted using adjustable Velcro straps. CaligaLoc also features soft padding on the inside for comfort. If swelling is severe, the padding can be trimmed by an orthopedic technician.

Thanks to its extended sole, CaligaLoc partially immobilizes the ankle and limits its range of motion, both day and night. Without the orthosis, the foot may assume an incorrect "tiptoe" position during sleep, which places excessive stress on the anterior external ligament. The CaligaLoc stabilizing orthosis therefore positively impacts the healing process and allows you to move correctly and without fear. After consulting with specialized medical personnel, you can wear the orthosis with or without shoes. You can also begin physical therapy and find the right routine to promote healing through movement.

Care and maintenance instructions:
To avoid damaging the product, CaligaLoc should be hand washed only with a mild detergent. Before washing, close the Velcro straps to ensure their secure fit. When drying, never expose the orthosis to direct heat (e.g., radiators, sunlight, etc.).

Further instructions:
It can be modified according to your needs, for example, in case of severe swelling it is possible to cut the padding thanks to the recess in the external malleolus area.
