SecuTec Dorso is a functional orthopedic brace that supports the lumbar spine to the lower thoracic region. It is indicated for conservative treatment following intervertebral disc prolapse or degenerative disease.
It provides support and relief for the lower lumbar and thoracic vertebrae through the bars integrated into the anatomically designed corset. The SecuTec Dorso functional orthosis can be put on and taken off without much effort, even by older patients.

In detail:
Following the onset of a herniated disc, but also in the presence of chronic conditions such as osteoporosis or progressive weakening of the back muscles, the spine requires support. SecuTec Dorso wraps the entire back, providing a lengthening effect and relieving pain. It thus relieves the load on the lumbar spine while providing support for the lower thoracic spine.
Integrated, individually adjustable stays along the entire torso enhance the stabilizing effect of the durable knit fabric. The force exerted by the extension can be individually adjusted using two Velcro straps for a comfortable fit.
At the beginning of treatment, an optional connecting frame, also custom-shaped, provides relief to the lumbar spine. At the same time, it protects the patient from painful rotational movements. As the healing process progresses, the connecting frame can be removed.
The SecuTec Dorso is effortlessly put on and take off using a tension strap system with practical Velcro fasteners. This allows even older patients to put on and take off the orthosis effortlessly and correctly. Thanks to its optimal shape and breathable knitted fabric, this orthosis provides complete and comfortable relief, allowing for great safety during everyday movements.

Spondylolisthesis (with recurrent lumbosciatica) grade I – III
Conditions following prolapse (e.g. post-operative)

Vertebral fractures (lumbar spine) with damage to the vertebral bodies
Osteoporosis
Moderate to severe lumbosciatica with muscle problems in the presence of significant disc protrusions/prolapse
Severe (pseudo)radicular low back pain syndrome
Moderate to severe lumbar deformity in the presence of facet joint syndrome/arthrosis
Lumbar spinal stenosis
