In cases of acute inflammatory conditions or trauma involving the wrist joint and the sellar and proximal thumb joints, the ManuLoc Rhizo rigid wrist and thumb brace immobilizes the wrist joint and fixes the thumb with a special support.
The structure of the orthosis can be modified following a multi-stage therapy, with a progressive increase in the mobility of the thumb, until the fixing element is completely removed.

In detail:
Whether from a fall down the stairs or chronic joint wear, when the wrist joint is affected, the thumb joints can also be affected, causing pain with every movement. The primary need is stabilization and immobilization. ManuLoc Rhizo combines the functions and technical features of a wrist and thumb orthosis. The thin, anatomical aluminum splints provide secure support for the wrist joint and thumb. For optimal positioning, the splints can be further adjusted by an orthopedic technician.
The Velcro tab at the thumb can be loosened to gradually restore mobility to the basal joint of the thumb. Once mobility is restored, the thumb support can be removed. This allows you to move all your fingers again, while maintaining wrist stabilization. The breathable material with integrated perforations allows optimal skin ventilation, thus preventing sweating and itching. The practical Velcro closure allows for easy donning and doffing of the orthosis using your free hand. You can finally begin physical therapy promptly and resume your daily routine.

Care and maintenance instructions:
Before washing, fasten the Velcro straps to the designated areas.
Wash the orthosis exclusively by hand at 30°C using a mild detergent. All components can remain attached to the orthosis during washing.
Air dry the product and not in the dryer, to avoid damaging the product itself.
Do not expose the product to direct heat as this may affect its effectiveness.
Regular care ensures optimal effectiveness. Follow the washing instructions on the label sewn onto the top edge of the product.

Further instructions:
The central palm bar with air vents, the side bars and the aluminum bracket can be shaped as desired.
As the therapy progresses, it is possible to gradually dynamize the thumb and completely remove the support.
