The Littmann Cardiology IV has two patented floating diaphragms that allow for low and high frequency detection on both sides of the chestpiece.
The side with the larger diameter can be used for auscultation on adult patients,
while the one with the smaller diameter can be useful for pediatric use or with thin patients.
The pediatric side can be converted into a bell, by removing the membrane, for easier auscultation of low frequencies.
It allows for optimal acoustic detection with attenuation of any possible sound interference.
Double lumen, combining two separate sound paths, to eliminate pipe rubbing noise.
Membrane and ring in one piece, easy to detach and clean, thanks to the smooth surface and without crevices. Produced with materials free of natural rubber latex or phthalate plasticizers.
